“Don’t be a p**sy”: Did Miley Cyrus Really Out Herself Using Old CD Cases to Store Drugs?
Miley Cyrus has moved far away from her “good girl” Disney days and her 2021 Instagram post solidified it even more. Dubbed the “pop chameleon,” Cyrus is an American singer, songwriter, and actress who rose to meteoric fame through her Disney channel show Hannah Montana. Since then, she has come a long way in building her name away from her Disney Channel persona. She has numerous awards and accolades to her name, which include 19 Teen Choice Awards, five Billboard Music Awards, four World Music Awards, three MTV Video Music Awards, a People’s Choice Award, a GLAAD Media Award, and eight Guinness World Records.
Cyrus’s struggle with substance use is nothing new. Although in 2020 she announced that she was sober after much struggle with addiction, it seems within a year things started to go haywire. In 2021, Cyrus posted a series of Instagram pictures that showed her using old Disney CD cases to store drugs.

Although Miley Cyrus has been vocal about her struggle with substance abuse, it is quite rare for her to document it on social media. She posted a CD case from her Hannah Montana days on Instagram that held some leafy greens that weren’t lettuce. She captioned the picture, saying:
“It’s Cat-urday but don’t be a p*ssy!”
The reactions to her post were quite hilarious. One user wrote jokingly, “Omg I just witnessed my favorite meal I love eating,” while another wrote, “That’s a good use for old cds.” Even YouTuber Hannah Meloche chimed in and said, “This is savage.”
Her Instagram photo dump included a lot of weird combinations of pictures, from a small leather jacket to a green and gold statement Renaissance boot. It also featured an image of Keith Richards from Rolling Stone and a picture of Cyrus from her Disney days that she might have nicked from Tumblr.

Last but not least was a picture of a recent Miley with her tattoos and blonde mullet, which shows how far away she has come since her Disney days.
‘A Lot of Drugs’ nearly ended Miley Cyrus’s career as Hannah Montana
While appearing as a guest in RuPaul’s Drag Race around March 2019, Miley Cyrus opened up about the dark side of being a Disney Channel teen star. When RuPaul asked Cyrus, “Hey, whatever happened to her?” while referring to her on-screen persona, she replied with:
“A lot of drugs.”
Cyrus previously spoke to Billboard in 2017 about how she was trying to evolve from her drug usage issues. She said that part of her journey of evolution included giving up marijuana. However, all her efforts seemed futile, as she announced in 2018 that she was back to using marijuana again due to her mother. In an interview with The Sun, she opened up and said:
“My mom got me back on it. When I’m just working, I don’t think I function at my highest, most intelligent, most being-able-to-be-as-aware-and-as-present, so I don’t smoke when I work.”
Not only did Cyrus serve as a judge of RuPaul’s Drag Race during her appearance, but she also went undercover in a costume as a crew member.
