An X user commented that generally all MCU shows and series are of six episodes, and Echo should’ve had the same episode count.
No surprise. Everyone knows that they cut a lot of content. And that whole "we made it so you can binge it in one sitting" is garbage they made up on the spot. All other Disney+ MCU shows are 6 episodes long, echo should've been too. They simply allocated resources elsewhere.

An Echo fan even mentioned enjoying the miniseries but the final episode felt like a rush. Check out more fan reactions to the miniseries’ reduced episode count below.
Should’ve been 6 or more. I enjoyed it but my biggest criticism with the show is the pacing and the final episode felt rushed

No, it was 8. They cut it to 6. Then cut it to 5.

they shouldnt have cut it down it deserved the extra depth and story telling time it couldve gotten

It was great but one more episode would have been prefect. The finale felt rushed. There should’ve been at least one more legit fight scene and a bit more reconciliation with her extended family. That and a joke recall of Biscuits explaining the car to grandma.

Should’ve been 20, I need more of maya in the future. please MCU!

Echo Showrunner Sydney Freeland Talks About Alaqua Cox’s Character Development In Echo
Sydney Freeland is the brain behind the out-of-the-box superheroes from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an interview with ComicBook.com the Native American filmmaker spoke about the character development of Echo and even confirmed that she is an antagonist character in the series. She said-
“We wanted something that, again, if you’re coming off of Hawkeye, and you have to keep in mind she’s a villain. She’s a villain. And so tonally, we wanted to lean into that. I think in talking with the executives and our approach, and when building visual style, it was sort of like, ‘Oh yeah, lean into that, lean into that.’”
While talking g about the powers of Maya Lopez, she shared-
“Yeah, so her power in the comic books is that she can copy anything, any movement, any whatever. It’s kind of lame, I will say that is not her power [in the show] and I’ll just kind of leave it at that.”
“Yeah, I wish I could say I did all the stunt work. But seriously, I did do a lot of stunt training for in pre-production and that helped as well. Having a stunt double as well. She was great. But, they didn’t want me… The stunt coordinator didn’t want me to do all of the stunts. And I totally understand because we don’t want any injuries happening and holding up production. That would be tragic.”
