Echo Cinematographer Provides An Important Update On Echo Season 2

From being critically praised for the fighting sequences by Alaqua Cox to being criticized for the tweaked episode count of the first season of Echo the Marvel-backed miniseries has taken over the internet. After the completion of the first season, fans just cannot wait for the second season of Echo. However, Echo cinematographer Kira Kelly shared her thoughts on the upcoming season of the miniseries during an interview with the media outlet The Direct. Kelly even went on to speak about the possibility of characters from Echo entering the domain of Daredevil: Born Again. She said-

“I’m not sure about that. I feel like the world—You know, anything that we can see Alaqua [Cox] would be amazing. Whether it’s another season for her or whether or not she’s in the ‘Daredevil’ show coming up or any other show. I would just love any excuse to see Alaqua perform again.”

Fans should not bank on the second season of Alaqua Cox’s Echo. Tom Hiddleston-led Loki is the only series to get the second season as of now, whereas there has been no update on the second season of Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel. So it is quite evident that Echo Season 2 is nowhere around the corner.

However there is a possibility of a crossover between Echo and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil: Born Again, but as of no update has been provided by the franchise regarding this.

Alaqua Cox Talks About Her Experience Of Working With Vincent D’Onofrio in Echo

Alaqua Cox made her debut as Echo in 2021 released Hawkeye. The Native American has just entered the world of lights, action, and camera and even managed to divert the spotlight towards her with her performance in Echo. During a recent interview with Deadline, Alaqua Cox spoke about her association with the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Echo, and how she managed to do the intense fighting sequence. While talking about the fight scenes alongside Kingpin, played by Vincent D’Onofrio, she said-

“It was very tough, honestly, because Maya is such a complicated and emotional person that has so many layers. I had a meeting with the director, talking about my specific emotions, and I had my acting coach. We’d about her emotions. Why is she so full of rage, and why is she so revengeful? She’s just obsessed with this revenge.”

Cox revealed that she even took YouTube’s help in order to learn about the stunts. She said-

“I would look on YouTube videos of some other characters that would do these fighting scenes, trying to study them and getting motivated to do my own fighting scenes and portray it in my character. I wanted to feed off of their emotions and make my own. I’m trying to think about what Maya went through to get these emotions, and that was how I was able to become Maya.”

The Hawkeye star further mentioned using a vibration device during the fighting scenes with Kingpin. She said-

“It was very hard, especially with Kingpin, because we always had a lot of intense scenes together. But I did have a vibration device that I would have to put in my shirt. When Kingpin and I were talking, he does not use sign language. So I did not know when his lines were over. So when he would finish his lines, the interpreter would hit the button, and it would give me a vibration and would let me know that his line was done and it was my turn. When I felt that buzzer, it would take me out of my emotions that I was feeling for that one second.”

Alaqua Cox played the character of an indigenous, deaf, and amputated superhero. With her hard work and dedication, the rising star is one of the most promising actors in Hollywood.

All episodes of Echo are streaming on Disney+ and Hulu.
