Amongst all the A-listers from Hollywood, Emilia Clarke is a significant part of the Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion. Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury is the main protagonist in the series who attempts to prevent the invasion of the shape-shifting Skrulls on Earth. Created by Kyle Bradstreet, Secret Invasion is the ninth television series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
According to the trailer of the Secret Invasion, actor Emilia Clarke would be seen playing the role of G’iah, a green shape-shifting Skrull. This is not the first time, the character of G’iah has been a part of the MCU, instead, the character was first introduced in the 2019 released Captain Marvel. G’iah was the daughter of Talos played by Ben Mendelsohn.

The trailer reaction of Samuel L. Jackson’s Secret Invasion is already out. The fans cannot keep calm for the much-awaited series based on Marvel Comics by a similar name. It has been receiving positive reviews with fans saying that it shows Marvel at its best. The star-studded cast of the series is one of the reasons behind its popularity. According to the entertainment website Showbiz Galore, there is a huge difference in the salary of the actors with respect to each other.
The Django Unchained actor is on the top with $20 million, actor Cobie Smulders, who plays the character of Maria Hill is second on the list with $4 million, followed by Martin Freeman, Ben Mendelsohn, Don Cheadle, Kingsley Ben-Adir, Dermot Mulroney, Olivia Colman and Emilia Clarke. The Game Of Thrones actor is the least paid on the list of celebrities associated with the upcoming Secret Invasion series. The striking difference between Samuel L. Jackson and Emilia Clarke is huge and it has already become a talking point in Hollywood.

Emilia Clarke On Signing the Marvel Studios Backed Secret Invasion
Emilia Clarke was attracted to Marvel’s Secret Invasion due to its’s star cast that comprises A-listers from Hollywood like- Samuel L Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, and Olivia Colman. During a conversation with the PA news agency, during the Los Angeles premiere of the series, the Me Before You actor said-
“I can’t believe I’m here; it feels absolutely amazing. Getting to work with this cast was a true privilege, getting to watch people who I admire so much who are legitimate, bona fide movie stars – it was wonderful.”
The 36-year-old star said that working with the megastars in the show was one of the main reasons she was attracted to the much-hyped project. She said- “Olivia Colman, Sam Jackson, Ben Mendelsohn, Marvel – done.”
The Last Christmas actor even went on to speak about what makes the upcoming series stand out in the crowd. She mentioned-
“And sometimes we need a fantastical, magical realism world to be able to access those kinds of thoughts without preaching or being overly political. The audience will have a good time with it, but there’s an urgency to this show that kind of keeps you on the edge of your seat – it’s new, but it’s Marvel-ified.”
Secret Invasion will premiere on Disney+ on 21 June 2023.
