Watching rapper Eminem and former U.S. President Barack Obama share a stage might not have been on anyone’s bingo card for 2024. Even more surprisingly, Obama channeled his inner rapper as he performed Eminem’s Lose Yourself on the stage. They even posed together for a picture and fans could not help but notice something that makes this whole thing even more hilarious than it already is.

Both Barack Obama and Eminem have been very vocal about their disapproval regarding Donald Trump. So, it seems understandable that they are endorsing Vice President Kamala Harris for the U.S. elections. During a campaign rally for Harris in Detroit (via Rolling Stone), Eminem took the stage after speeches by Senator Gary Peters, Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and former Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin ‘Megatron’ Johnson.

Wearing a Detroit Tigers hat, the Not Afraid rapper emphasized the importance of freedom of speech before introducing Obama. When Obama took the stage, he joked about being nervous to speak before smoothly beginning to rap Eminem’s 2002 single Lose Yourself.

Obama and Eminem were photographed together, and the picture has taken the internet by a storm, for obvious reasons. However, fans have not failed to miss how there is a difference in the heights of the two men. Here is what some of them had to say on X:

The comments have been pretty hilarious so far. While Obama is 6 feet and 1 inch tall, Eminem stands at 5 feet and 8 inches. So, there is 5 inches of difference between the heights of the two men. This explains why Eminem looks a little too short while standing next to Obama!

This is not the first time the Houdini rapper has openly endorsed a political campaign. An ardent supporter of Obama, he promoted Joe Biden and Kamala Harris back in 2020 and continues to do so even this year. He has also never held back his criticism of Donald Trump.

While on the stage for the campaign rally in Detroit, he expressed his belief in Harris, stating that he believes she stands for freedom of expression and other such rights of U.S. citizens.

I also think that people shouldn’t be afraid to express their opinions, and I don’t think anyone wants an America where people are worried about retribution of what people will do if you make your opinion known. I think Vice President Harris supports a future for this country where these freedoms and many others will be protected and upheld.

Eminem is never one to hold back no matter who it is that he is talking about in his bars. This unfiltered honesty is one of the reasons fans have grown to love the musician so much over the years. That said, he is not the first celebrity or musician to endorse Harris, who has gained the support of big artists like Taylor Swift, Jon Bon Jovi, Megan Thee Stallion, Stevie Wonder, John Legend, and even Bruce Springsteen.
