The Gwen Stacy from The Amazing Spider-Man, Emma Stone, wasn’t given an acting opportunity served on a plate. She had to really work hard to get the privilege she has now.

Emma Stone made it to the top after appearing in 2010’s Easy A. However, that’s not the only project she is recognized for, as there are several more. For instance, she started her acting career with Superbad, which was released in 2007. After that, she worked in Zombieland, Crazy, Stupid Love, and more. However, the film that really helped her become famous worldwide was The Amazing Spider-Man.

What is the Worst Memory Emma Stone Had of Hollywood?

Emma Stone is one of the most loved actresses in Hollywood, but she had to go through several heartbreaks during her struggling phase. Reportedly, when she was 15, she went for an audition for the lead actor in the superhero film, Heroes. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Stone stated that it did not go in her favor as she heard the creators calling out a girl who just entered the room and saying that she was their pick for the role.

I could hear that, in the other room, a girl had just gone in and they were saying, ‘You are our pick … On a scale of 1 to 10 you’re an 11’”.

Unfortunately, the above-mentioned instance wasn’t the only worst audition memory the Oscar-winning actress had to go through; there were many more — One of which she revealed during an interview with Psychologies. Stone said that when she was 16, she went for an audition where she was not allowed to rehearse the lines before the actual audition (which wasn’t fair). So, obviously, she couldn’t give her best, and for this, the director yelled at her and called her unprofessional.

“I was 16 at the time and I was having trouble getting them right, and this woman [a casting director] started screaming at me and telling me how unprofessional I was.”

The release date of Emma Stone’s Poor Things gets pushed back

Poor Things is an upcoming Sci-fi film that’s based on a novel of the same name. The film stars Stone in the lead role. Initially, Poor Things was planned to get released on September 8, 2023, but now it won’t make it to the theaters until December 8, 2023. As per Deadline, the reason for the shift in the release date is the SAG-AFTRA strike that doesn’t allow any celebrity to promote their movies. Well, it’s evident that promotions are significant to make a film work. Hence, several movies are getting delayed due to the strike, not only Stone’s upcoming film.
