Pop icon Taylor Swift is indeed one of the most beloved artists in the world who has managed to connect with her listeners throughout her career. Her Eras tour not only captivated her fans around the world but also some famous figures, such as the British royal family.

Prince William was seen enjoying Swift’s concert in London, where he was accompanied by his kids, George and Charlotte. The concert coincidentally occurred on the same date as Prince William’s 42nd birthday, June 21, 2024.

The concert was performed in Wembley Stadium, and both Prince of Wales and Swift posted pictures of their meeting after the concert. Prince William expressed his appreciation for the singer by thanking her for the concert in his post. In response, Taylor Swift wished him a happy birthday, along with Travis Kelce, for the wonderful start of her tour in London on her Instagram.

But the connection between Swift and the British royal family started a long time ago. She has remained close with the Prince of Wales after meeting him in March 2012 while performing at a charity event that also featured William and Jon Bon Jovi. Also, Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle recently attended the Los Angeles Eras Tour in August 2023.

Moreover, the Royal Guard has also covered Swift’s Shake It Off outside Buckingham Palace before Swift’s Wembley concert. The Guards were seen in a video on their Instagram where they appreciated the song with the caption, “Can’t stop, won’t stop groovin.”

During her concert at Wembley, Prince William was also seen dancing to the song Shake It Off, as netizens shared on their social media. His presence at the concert with his children shows Swift’s ability to draw high-profile celebrities to her concert, which differs her from her contemporaries like Kanye West and Justin Bieber, who, regardless of their fame and influence, have not been able to attract any royalty to their concerts so far.

The Rivalry Between Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Justin Bieber

The rivalry between Taylor Swift, Kanye West, and Justin Bieber has been quite famous. The beef between Swift and West began in 2009 when he interrupted her as she was accepting her MTV Video Music Award by saying that Beyoncé had the best music video. Later, the rapper and the singer had a series of diss tracks, phone call recordings, and music video disses that kept on going, which continued their feud.

The rivalry between Swift and Bieber started because of both personal and professional matters, mostly due to Bieber’s association with one of Swift’s other rivals, Scooter Braun. Bieber’s career was initially boosted by Swift when he got the opportunity to participate in one of her shows on the Fearless Tour in 2009.

Swift was allegedly upset over Bieber, as she felt he was cheating on her friend Selena Gomez at the time. According to Elle, Swift liked posts on Tumblr that talked about Bieber’s behavior and his cheating on Gomez. Bieber’s support for West during his rivalry with Swift also intensified the Swift-Bieber feud.

Bieber and Swift might have made up now because the two were recently spotted side by side dancing at Coachella watching Ice Spice’s performance. Nevertheless, Swift’s relationship with the Royals shows that her personality and connection with her fans truly separate her from others in the entertainment industry.
