Even Ryan Reynolds Had No Clue- After Spider-Man: No Way Home, Tom Holland’s Brother Returns to MCU in Deadpool and Wolverine as a Mysterious Character
- Harry Holland surprised everyone with his appearance in 'Deadpool 3.'
- Even Ryan Reynolds was shocked by his secret cameo.
- Interestingly, Harry is Tom Holland's brother.
Who would have thought that the Marvel Cinematic Universe had another Holland in store for us? While Tom Holland has wowed us as Spider-Man, his brother Harry has quietly joined the superhero scene too.
A shocking revelation from the set of Deadpool & Wolverine has left everyone, including Ryan Reynolds, amazed. Holland’s younger brother made an unexpected cameo as one of the Deadpool variants in the action-filled movie that even the Deadpool star wasn’t aware of!
Ryan Reynolds is Blindsided by the Cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine
The secret came out when the film’s stunt coordinator and second unit director, George Cottle, posted a behind-the-scenes photo on his Instagram story. The picture showed Harry Holland dressed as Deadpool with the caption (via EW):
When Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds set the bar so f*cking high, even the stunt team needed a special guest star! It may not [be] the Holland the world wanted, but it was the Holland we all needed!! Harry Holland, You smashed it my friend.
He added with the hashtag #Haroldpool. Naturally, Ryan Reynolds was as surprised as the rest of us. Reacting to Cottle’s post, the Canadian actor exclaimed, “This is how I find out?!? You tell me?”
His astonishment also matched the surprise of fans everywhere. In the scene where Holland appeared, several Deadpool variants were involved in a huge third-act fight with Deadpool and Wolverine.
Other cameos included Blake Lively as the voice of Lady Deadpool, Inez Reynolds as the voice of Kidpool, Matthew McConaughey as the voice of Cowboy Deadpool, Nathan Fillion as the voice of Headpool, and Paul Mullin as Welshpool.
As for Holland, his brief appearance as Deadpool could be just the start of his Marvel adventure. With the MCU growing rapidly, there’s always a possibility he could return in a bigger role.
The 25-year-old has already made his MCU debut, though it wasn’t intended to be. He was also in 2021’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, where his brother (the Uncharted star) starred as Spider-Man. Holland played a bicycle thief, but his scene was cut from the final movie.
