The Weeknd took to his social media to share a cryptic message online now deleted, hinting that his upcoming album could be his final album. He shared posts from a fan page that featured his song Save Your Tears, along with a quote that read,

There was a lot of trust in those cars. He didn’t seem nervous at all, which weirded us out because these cars were just barreling by him, and he was calm, kept his composure, walked slowly, and didn’t look back. It was kind of amazing. The end is near.

In his interview with W Magazine, the Canadian singer revealed that he was ready to close the chapter as The Weeknd. He said (via Independent)

It’s getting to a place and a time when I’m getting ready to close the Weeknd chapter. I’ll still make music, maybe as Abel, maybe as The Weeknd. But I still want to kill The Weeknd. And I will. Eventually. I am definitely trying to shed that skin and be reborn.

Abel Tesfaye continued that the album he is working on is probably going to be his last hurrah as The Weeknd adding that this is something that he has to do.
