Florence Pugh was in São Paulo promoting her new film Dune: Part Two alongside co-stars Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Austin Butler. As the group posed together, an item suddenly flew into the frame, hitting Pugh just below her right eye.

Pugh visibly winced from the impact as Butler jerked back with shock. The rest of the cast gathered around Pugh with concern. Everyone startled and checked on Pugh if the injury was something serious. The star kept her poise, swiftly brushing her face and bending to pick up what hit her. Her castmates continued checking she was okay before carrying on with the event.

Regardless of the specific motive, the Comic-Con incident seems to fall into a pattern of performers facing projectile attacks from audiences. Major stars like Drake, Harry Styles, and Lil Nas X have all recently had items thrown at them mid-concert. Pugh now unfortunately joins the list of those targeted by such assaults.
