However, before he became an acclaimed actor in the entertainment world, Glen Powell was blessed to play a character named Trader #1 in Christopher Nolan‘s The Dark Knight Rises. The scene features Tom Hardy‘s Bane grabbing the head of Powell’s Trader #1.

Though many fans might have missed noticing Gen Powell’s role in Nolan’s epic finale, some speculated the actor’s future role in the DC Universe. Following Powell’s brief yet attention-worthy role, some enthusiasts believed the Devotion star would play Booster Gold in upcoming DC live-action films. However, it did not happen and Glen Powell did not play the unique superhero in any of the films. Glen Powell Speaks About His Brief Stunt Scene in The Dark Knight Rises

Glen Powell once shared how his brief stunt scene with Tom Hardy’s Bane turned out to be a behind-the-scene goodie and how it helped to bring authenticity to the characters. During the scene, Hardy’s Bane was supposed to give a warning tap before he hit him and grabbed his head. However, this slipped from the actor’s mind, and he accidentally slammed Powell.

In an interview with EW, the Top Gun star recalled the incident and explained how the scene became more genuine because of the unexpected hit from Hardy. He said:

“Bane walks into the stock exchange and just slams my head into a computer. The stunt that we had prepared is that Tom Hardy is supposed to tap me on the back before he slams my head on the computer keyboard. One take he forgets to tap me on the back and just slams my head on the computer.”

Explaining how Christopher Nolan took this opportunity to joke about the actors as Hardy almost caused a concussion. Powell added:

“I was kind of dazed. I was like, Oh s–t, I don’t know if I have a concussion or what. Chris [Nolan] was like, ‘Can we do it again, just like that?’ I was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, we can do it again just like that.’ He was like, ‘I’m kidding! Go to the medic.'”

Glen Powell ten continued to talk about his film Top Gun: Maverick in which he landed the remarkable role of Lt. Jake ‘Hangman’ Seresin. Currently, the actor starred alongside rising star Sydney Sweeney in Anyone But You, a movie that has been praised for the chemistry between the two.
