‘F*ck You Sebastian Stan’: Fans Rip Apart MCU Star for Thanking Pamela Anderson in Audacious ‘Pam & Tommy’ Post, Claim She Never Consented to the Series
Sebastian Stan is known for playing Captain America’s best friend and the Winter Soldier, Bucky Barnes, in the MCU. The actor recently gained province after starring in a Hulu series titled Pam & Tommy. The series is based on the case of the nonconsensual dissemination of Baywatch actress Pamela Anderson and musician Tommy Lee’s stolen sex tape in the 1990s. The incident greatly impacted the actress’s public image and caused her significant trauma.

Sebastian Stan tags Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee in an Instagram story about Pam & Tommy’s Emmy nominations
Recently, Sebastian Stan and Lily James, the lead actors of the eight-episode series, received Emmy nominations for their portrayal of the incident. Sebastian Stan took to his Instagram to express his gratitude for the nomination and tagged his co-stars as well as the victims of the crime, Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. However, his inclusion of the Baywatch actress was not appreciated by the fans.
Even though the Hulu series centers around the impact of the leak of the sex tape on Pamela Anderson’s life, the show was made without the actress’ consent. Her close friend, Courtney Love, criticized the show in a Facebook post that she later deleted and called it “so f*cking outrageous.” She also added that the show caused Anderson “complex trauma.”
Pamela Anderson is making a documentary about her life with Netflix
The show’s main aim was to highlight the misogyny that led to Pamela Anderson being slut-shamed while Tommy Lee was hailed as a ‘sex god.’ However, the lack of approval by the actress who experienced the misogyny defeats the entire purpose of the show. Moreover, the actress is clearly unhappy with the show since she has refrained from acknowledging its presence. Instead, she is working on producing her documentary with Netflix. In a note shared on Instagram, Pamela Anderson wrote,
“My life. A thousand imperfections. A million misperceptions. Wicked, wild, and lost. Nothing to live up to. I can only surprise you. Not a victim, but a survivor. And alive to tell the real story.”
Fans react negatively to Sebastian Stan’s Instagram story about Pam and Tommy’s Emmy nomination
Fans did not react well to Sebastian Stan tagging the actress in his story and took to Twitter to criticize the MCU actor for his move.
Sebastian Stan has the audacity to tag Pam Anderson in his Emmy post and then lecture everyone about consent and exploitation. He helped introduce a new generation to the tape and is patting himself on the back. What a ghoul. pic.twitter.com/o4E9uRVAj8

It was not heartfelt. He tagged the person who didn't consent to any of this and continues to exploit.

Heartfelt my ass. Was it heartfelt when he tagged the women the show was made about without her consent? Just another abuse loving man

This is not the first time Sebastian Stan has received criticism about the Hulu show. His statement about watching the sex tape for “research” was also not taken well by the fans. All fans can hope for now is that the actress’ Netflix documentary will do justice to her story and give her the right platform to raise her voice against the oppression that she faced due to the leak of the sex tape.
