While things are not good between Florence Pugh and Olivia Wilde right now, there was a time when Florence Pugh had nothing but love for Olivia Wilde. In 2019, Florence Pugh had an actor-on-actor interview with Beanie Feldstein and she revealed that she was “in love” with Olivia Wilde. Florence Pugh played the role of Alice in Olivia Wilde’s 2022 psychological thriller Don’t Worry Darling. There are a lot of posts going viral on social media that claim that the actress and the director are currently not on good terms, however, the rumors seem false as Olivia Wilde recently praised Pugh during a press conference for her movie.
Olivia Wilde allegedly cheated on Jason Sudeikis
A source has revealed that Olivia Wilde allegedly cheated on her then-partner Jason Sudeikis with whom she shares two children. There are speculations that this could be also one of the reasons why Florence Pugh did not like Olivia Wilde. The source claimed,
“I can tell you for a fact that Flo seeing Olivia and Harry all over each other on set did not go down well as Olivia was still with Jason [Sudeikis] when she first hooked up with Harry.”
Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde started dating in 2013 and were together until the end of 2020.

During Variety’s Actors on Actors interview special in 2019, Florence Pugh asked Beanie Feldstein, “What was it like to work with Olivia Wilde? Because I am totally in love with her.” Beanie Feldstein then replied, “I think you and Olivia would be so drawn to each other because she is just as fearless as you are in her own, on-screen and off.” Beanie Feldstein previously appeared in Olivia Wilde’s Booksmart, which was her directorial debut.
Olivia Wilde recently shut down feud rumors
There were a lot of theories going around on social media about Olivia Wilde and Florence Pugh’s relationship. There is still no solid proof of the two having a feud but Olivia Wilde decided to shut down all these rumors as she praised Florence Pugh during an interview. During a Venice Film Festival press conference, Olivia Wilde addressed a question regarding her relationship with Pugh,
“Florence is a force. We are so grateful she’s able to make it tonight [for the red carpet] despite being in production on ‘Dune.’ I know as a director how disruptive it is to lose an actor even for a day, so I’m very grateful to her and to [‘Dune’ director Denis Villeneuve] for helping us. And we’ll get to celebrate her work tonight. I can’t say how honored I am to have her as our lead. She’s amazing.”
Apart from this, the director also addressed all the misleading posts that are currently being shared on social media,
“As for all the endless tabloid gossip and all the noise out there, the internet feeds itself. I don’t feel the need to contribute; I think it’s sufficiently well-nourished.”
Despite getting media attention for so much drama, Don’t Worry Darling still received poor ratings. It received a 42% on Rotten Tomatoes and 1/10 by IMDb. The movie is out in theatres right now.
