Arnold Schwarzenegger has been part of the industry for a long time. During his acting career, the action star was also involved in politics. Schwarzenegger was the former governor of California. His time in politics was dark and landed him in big trouble, which he regrets today.

In 2003, at the time of his campaign for governor of California, the 75-year-old was accused of groping six women. During that time, the Terminator star declined all the claims. He declared that he was being targeted by the media. Schwarzenegger has admitted his wrongdoings and offered an apology for past allegations. The action star opened up about the issue in his new Netflix documentary series, Arnold.
He said, “My reaction in the beginning, I was kind of… defensive.”

In the documentary, the Terminator actor criticizes his past actions regardless of the cultural setting, bringing up his early years as a prominent bodybuilder in Venice Beach, California.

He added,

“Today, I can look at it and kind of say, it doesn’t really matter what time it is. If it’s the Muscle Beach days of 40 years ago, or today, that this was wrong. It was bullshit. Forget all the excuses, it was wrong.”

In the election of October 2003, Schwarzenegger defeated Cruz Bustamante, a Democratic alternative, to succeed outgoing Democratic Governor Grey Davis. From 2003 until 2011, he served as California’s 38th governor.

Arnold Schwarzenegger is not shying away from his scandals, as he is openly talking about them in his docuseries. The three-part docuseries Arnold focuses on the life of the FUBAR actor, in which he is open about both his failures and his successes.

The action icon’s bodybuilding achievements, ascent to Hollywood’s top box office, and political career as California’s governor are all covered in the three-part series. 

In the docu-series, Schwarzenegger also discusses the birth of his son Joseph Baena, 25, with Mildred Baena, his former housekeeper, when he was still married to Maria Shriver, his ex-wife.

Arnold, the three-part docu-series will release on June 7, 2023, on Netflix.
