She went on to explain that the two heads of DC Studios, James Gunn and Peter Safran confirmed Wonder Woman 3 with her by saying,

“From what I heard from James and Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.” Gadot added, “I love portraying Wonder Woman. It’s so close to and dear to my heart. “Things are being worked behind the scenes and once the right moment arrives, you’ll know about it.”

The path for the movie to reach theaters didn’t go very smoothly. When the whole world was dealing with the big sickness called COVID-19, just like many other movies, Wonder Woman 1984 had to be put on hold. It was supposed to come out in June 2020, but then they moved it to August, and then to October. Finally, they decided to release it in theaters on December 25, which is Christmas Day.

But, the problem was that the sickness was still around, and it was not safe for many people to go to the theaters. Making Wonder Woman 1984 wasn’t cheap – it cost the company Warner Bros. more than $200 million. The movie managed to make around $110.7 million from other countries. In the UK, it made about $1.15 million from when it started showing on December 18. In some European countries like Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Ukraine, Iceland, Slovakia, Serbia, and Montenegro, the movie made approximately a big total of $5.9 million.

However, when we stack up these figures against the typical performance of movies, they might appear rather underwhelming. In a normal year, such results would likely be deemed rather unsatisfactory. Nevertheless, it’s crucial to bear in mind that the challenging circumstances brought about by the health crisis significantly hindered the movie’s potential for greater success. The enforced closure of theaters and widespread stay-at-home directives understandably limited the number of moviegoers who could venture out to catch a screening.
