In a recent interview promoting her new book ‘Dying of Politeness’, Geena Davis shared a few disturbing incidents she had with Bill Murray. She shared the screen with Bill Murray in the 1990 movie Quick Exchange. Davis talked about the time her co-star’s rude treatment of her on the set of the movie.

Recently, Geena Davis promoted her Memoir titled Dying of Politeness with People. The two-time academy award winner shared an incident that she never discussed publicly before. She shares that while shooting for Quick Exchange, she was introduced to Bill Murray in a hotel suite for the first time. While there, Murray insisted Davis put massage equipment on her even on her refusal to do so. Davis added,

I said no multiple times, but he wouldn’t relent,” Davis writes in her memoir.  She also added, “I would have had to yell at him and cause a scene if I was to get him to give up trying to force me to do it; the other men in the room did nothing to make it stop.”

“I realized with profound sadness that I didn’t yet have the ability to withstand this onslaught — or to simply walk out,” she added.

The actress also shared that she was verbally abused by Murray while filming, she stated:

“There were easily more than 300 people there — and Murray was still screaming at me, for all to see and hear,”

Davis  said what she shared about Murray was not surprising. She said,

 “I figure it’s sort of rather universally known that he could be difficult to work with. And so I don’t feel like I’m busting him in a way that will necessarily shock him. I think he knows very well the way he can behave.” Davis shared with People.

Geena Davis is not the sole victim of Murray’s disturbing attitude toward his co-stars. Recently in April, a similar incident took place on the set of Being Mortal. A female staff accused Murray of inappropriate behavior towards her. Addressing the allegations, Murray told CNBC,

“I did something I thought was funny, and it wasn’t taken that way,” 

In the past, another incident similar to Davis’ occurred with Charlie’s Angels star Lucy Liu. She  shared in a podcast,

As we’re doing the scene, Bill starts to sort of hurl insults, and I won’t get into the specifics, but it kept going on and on,”

She added, “Some of the languages were inexcusable and unacceptable, and I was not going to just sit there and take it.”

As to Davis’ allegations, the Ghostbusters actor has not given any comment or response.
