It is once again Demi Moore’s world and we are just living in it. In the ’90s, she made history by becoming the highest-paid actress in Hollywood, and this year, she has proved that she is as strong as she was back then by winning her first Golden Globe award since she made her acting debut in 1981.
In Hollywood, it is rare for actresses even to stay booked when they are past 60, but Moore is obviously not one of them as she is out there thriving. While she is getting appreciated for her amazing work in the body horror film, The Substance, fans cannot help but notice the stark difference between her and ex-husband Ashton Kutcher’s careers.

Demi Moore‘s role in 1990’s Ghost proved to the world that she is worth all the hype she gets. In fact, at one point, this movie and her then-husband, Bruce Willis’ Die Hard 2 occupied the position of the top 2 positions at the box office. This feat remained unbeatable until last year when Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds’ It Ends with Us and Deadpool & Wolverine took the first two positions at the box office.
Moore’s career took a hit with a string of unsuccessful films in the latter half of the ’90s. One of these was Striptease, which was a huge disappointment. Even so, she continued working. However, it was not until last year that she gained worldwide attention once again for her film, The Substance.
For her performance, she recently won the Golden Globe award for Best Female Actor in a Film — Musical or Comedy (via CNN). In her acceptance speech, she revealed how she was at “this low point” of her life when she received the script for this film. She also recalled how a producer had called her “a popcorn actress” 30 years ago.
Moore defied all odds to win her first Golden Globe award 45 years after she began her acting career. A lot happened in those years including her marriage and divorce from Ashton Kutcher. At first, things seemed normal but took a completely different turn when the actress released her memoir which claimed that Kutcher had been unfaithful to her. It was only a matter of time before the people’s perspective of the No Strings Attached actor changed.

In 2019, Moore released her memoir Inside Out, in which she pulled the curtain back on some private details of her three marriages. In 2005, she got married to Ashton Kutcher, her third husband at the time. Their relationship drew criticism for the age gap at first, but they continued to be each other’s support system.
In 2011, the Landman actress decided to end their marriage and Kutcher filed for divorce a year later. By 2013, the divorce was finalized, but it was not until 2019 that the dark details of their marriage came to light. In her memoir (via PEOPLE), Moore revealed that she had become part of threesomes twice to make him happy,
I put him first. So when he expressed his fantasy of bringing a third person into our bed, I didn’t say no. I wanted to show him how great and fun I could be. They were good people, but it was still a mistake.
According to her, he used this as an excuse to justify his unfaithfulness during their marriage. To make matters worse, Kutcher and his now-wife, Mila Kunis wrote letters in support of their former co-star Danny Masterson when he was accused of r*pe (via AP News).

The fact that Kutcher was friends with Diddy for a long time and might have known about his freak-off parties also does not help the Just Married actor’s case. Things have definitely not been in his favor for quite some time now while Moore proves she’s just getting started.
