Superman: Legacy is all set to start filming next month and DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn is finally letting all the cats out of his bag, one by one. Previously in DCEU, Man of Steel was scored by the legendary Hans Zimmer, which will always remain a classic. Now James Gunn has finally confirmed that John Murphy is all set to score Superman: Legacy

James Gunn Taps Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Composer John Murphy For Superman: Legacy

James Gunn recently took to Instagram to announce that John Murphy is his trusted man when it comes to scoring the most important DC project right now, Superman: Legacy. John Murphy has previously worked on projects like The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3. This would mark their fourth project together. James Gunn took to Instagram to ecstatically announce the news. In the caption, he wrote,

“Happy to announce that my frequent collaborator @johnmurphycomposer is scoring #SupermanLegacy,” Gunn wrote on Instagram. “John was one of the first people I called when I finished the script many months ago as I knew how incredibly important the score was to this production. John has been working tirelessly since, creating hours worth of music that we’ll play on set as we shoot & use in the edit & that will eventually be recorded with a glorious symphony for all of you. Welcome to the DCU, John!”

He has also worked in the comic book movie Kick-Ass and other movies such as Sunshine, Miami Vice, and 28 Days Later. Since production will start in March, the audience probably will not get to hear a sneak peek before Comic-Con rolls around in July. However, until a proper trailer is released, the audience will not get the full flavor of John Murphy’s magic.

Superman: Legacy will tell the story of the Son of Krypton, who is the embodiment of truth and justice, but in an American way. He would be guided by human kindness in a world that sees it as old-fashioned. David Corenswet will be playing Superman, whereas Rachel Brosnahan will be the sassy Lois Lane.

James Gunn Shares The Brave And The Bold Update To Appease The Fans

Among the most interesting projects coming out of DC are The Brave and the Bold, which shows Bruce Wayne finding out that he is a father when he meets Damian Wayne and he takes the boy in and trains him to be the new Robin. Although audience excitement is at an all-time high about the project, many have been wondering whether the release of The Brave and the Bold will clash with Matt Reeves’ Batman Trilogy, starring Robert Pattinson.
