Actress Amber Heard officially deleted her Twitter account shortly after Elon Musk acquired the platform for $44 billion. Johnny Depp and Amber Heard’s defamation trial has been a topic of discussion for many months now. The actress has faced intense backlash since she lost the defamation trial as Johnny Depp fans swarm over her comment section very often.
Sources say that the Aquaman star has been living in Spain with her daughter and decided to deactivate her Twitter because of all the negativity. After losing the trial, she was ordered to pay $10.35 million to Johnny Depp for compensatory damages. Elon Musk, who bought Twitter, also played a key role in their trial as she was accused of cheating on Depp with the billionaire.

Twitter user That Umbrella Guy posted a tweet recently pointing out that actress Amber Heard has deleted her Twitter account. The tweet went viral very soon and Johnny Depp fans celebrated under the tweet. The actress is trying to lead a low-key life in Spain as she recently rented out a mansion in Mallorca that was listed for 2.8 million Euros.
The actress along with her daughter has been spotted several times in the city. Johnny Depp’s fans have blasted her saying that she only claims to be broke when it comes to paying Johnny Depp. A Twitter user joked that she deactivated her Twitter so Elon Musk doesn’t access her messages as the billionaire bought the platform recently for a whopping $44 billion.
Did the actress threaten Johnny Depp?
Recently, Johnny Depp’s close friend, Doug Stanhope, revealed that Amber Heard threatened to lie about the actor publicly in order to damage his reputation. The two got married in 2015 but got divorced in May 2016. The two started dating in 2011 and were together for roughly 5 years. Depp’s friend claimed that during that period, the actor looked distressed at all times, and suffered from severe anxiety issues due to the threats.
Johnny Depp sued Amber Heard
In 2018, Amber Heard wrote an op-ed for The Washington Post. She claimed to be a survivor of domestic abuse in the op-ed and the Pirates of the Caribbean star decided to sue her for defamation. The jury concluded on June 1st, 2022 that the editorial was about the actor, ordering the actress to pay the actor for compensatory and punitive damages, which added up to roughly $10.35 million.
Amber Heard also received $2 million in compensatory damages. The actress claimed to be broke at the time and fans have trolled her for only pretending to be broke as she has been spotted on vacations several times since the trial.
