Joe Rogan Shows a Fascination over Fans’ Obsession with John Wick
In a recent episode on his podcast The Joe Rogan Experience, Joe Rogan has shown disbelief in fans’ obsession with John Wick. During this podcast, Rogan talked boastfully about the movie John Wick and its action scenes.
Rogan was also seen showing complete appreciation towards Keanu Reeves’s fighting and acting skills. He also praised a few scenes of the movie and talked about how smitten he was with them.
However, Rogan also reflected on the obsession of the fans with John Wick as a hero. Talking about this Rogan tried to emphasize the fact that John Wick was a guy who was sent to kill people and he did kill a number of them. But still, fans obsess over him just because his puppy was killed. Rogan even called John Wick to be one of the weirdest kinds of heroes that ever existed.
Talking about this on his podcast Joe Rogan said, “Here is what is weird about it, Look I love that movie but why, it’s the sexy assassin that you root for, the whole thing is like have we forgiven his past, where he worked for the Russian mob and killed how many fucking people that didn’t deserve to be killed, like he was the guy you sent in to kill bill people it’s the weirdest sort of hero, that’s ever existed. And this is all because it is so satisfying because they killed his puppy”.
These comments of Joe Rogan have sparked a series of discussions on the internet as fans are quick to come in defense of John Wick.
John Wick Chapter 5?
Even though the director Chad Stahelski showed doubts about the making of John Wick 5, fans have not given up on their hopes. Despite his previous denial, Stahelski himself admitted “Lionsgate is keen on doing more John Wick stuff, understandably. It’s not a bad thing for a director to have a property that they want to make more of. I don’t have a take right now.”
He further added “But I could wake up tomorrow and have a cool idea that I’d pitch to Keanu [Reeves], or he would pitch to me, and it might hit that chord of: ‘Oh my God, we got to do this right now.'”
Taking into consideration the ending of John Wick 4 and these comments by the director, fans expect nothing more but yet another movie starring their beloved John Wick.
