Hawkeye: This Is How He Has Changed Over The Years (We’re Not Talking About His Looks)
MCU has introduced us to so many superheroes for years. It’s the end of 2021 and we’ve already entered MCU’s Phase 4. With time, many heroes that formed the base of MCU have exited the scene but looks like Hawkeye is here to stay. Clint Barton, a.k.a Hawkeye is played by Jeremy Renner. He is nothing like the other superheroes we’ve seen with beams coming out of their eyes, heavy tech, fancy suits, and other stuff. Hawkeye is a hero with skills. He is a normal human being like us, but with extra skills, intellect and swiftness. Hawkeye is no god, just a human. This is what makes him more relatable to the audience. We saw him first in 2011’s Thor and since then he has been an important part of the MCU. However, over the years, he has changed drastically. We’re not talking about the looks. Then what is it? Check it out! Let us know if you’re happy with how they’ve developed Hawkeye’s character over the years.
1. The Guy Who Always Thought About Others First, Has Now Taken A Step Back
Clint Barton was a person who always wanted the good for all. Being selfless was his trait. Even though he did not have any superpowers, he did not fear fighting weird other world creatures, just to save the people of Earth. However, things changed after the blip. His family was gone. This devastated him and he changed. Even after the snap was reversed, he sort of couldn’t get back to what he was. Throughout his journey, he saw Nat and Quicksilver die. This is another factor that changed him.
2. Hawkeye Now Tries To Stay Out Of Trouble And Avoids Attention
Ever since he has become a part of the MCU, we’ve seen him taking risks, doing things he knew nothing about, yet going ahead. For instance, he knew nothing about Loki’s Specter. Yet he was there to help in the research. However, in the latest Hawkeye series, we can see Clint not wanting to get involved in something that isn’t his business. Neither he wants attention. Looks like he is playing it low. Maybe he is done with the all uncalled troubles he has to face due to all the risks he has taken!
3. No New Friends Please
Throughout his journey, he made one best friend, Natasha Romanoff. Unfortunately, he saw her dying in front of his eyes and couldn’t do anything about it. He even shared a good relationship with other Avengers. But most of them are gone now. However, he also faced betrayal from Tony in Civil War, remember? Now, Hawkeye only focuses on keeping professional associations.
4. Hawkeye Is Now More Vocal About His Family
Earlier, Hawkeye had his lips zipped when it came to his family. We didn’t know much about his backstory. He wanted to keep his personal and professional life differentiated. However, in the latest series, we can see he was upfront about his kids with Kate Bishop.
5. All The Action And Fights Have Taken A Toll On Him
We’ve seen Hawkeye always up for action. Be it S.H.I.E.L.D or Avengers, or Tony v/s Steve fight, Hawkeye fought for what he thought was right. However, his time as Ronin has changed him completely. He now avoids fights. He prefers talking it out. Hawkeye takes on a fight only when there’s absolutely no other option left. This is normal since he is a human. For years, he has seen lots of destruction, deaths, and sacrifices. All this must’ve haven a toll on him.
