Hayley Atwell Reveals the truth Behind Her Dating Stories With Tom Cruise: “It feels a little dirty”
In Hollywood, dating rumors between two co-stars especially in a romantic role is something inevitable. And when it comes to stars like Tom Cruise, there is much more of these instances. Since the production of Cruise’s upcoming project, Mission Impossible 7 started, the actor and his co-star Hayley Atwell have been pulled into a dating rumor.
Their off screen closeness and friendly behavior toward each other have seemingly led many to think of a possible romance blooming between them.
However, Atwell recently debunked the rumors and expressed how it affected her mentally. She also shared the advice her senior co-star provided her when the rumors had started spiraling.
Hayley Atwell Addresses Her Dating Rumors With Co-Star Tom Cruise
Getting one’s name romantically linked to a colleague can be embarrassing in some cases especially when there are no such feelings involved at all. But the entertainment industry is a place where celebrities are constantly being linked to one another. Therefore it does not come as a surprise that Tom Cruise and his Mission Impossible 7 co-star Hayley Atwell have also been caught in a dating rumor for a while on that.

Since 2020, when the two actors were spotted attending a Wimbledon game together, as happens so often, they ended up getting romantically linked to each other. But Atwell has debunked everything recently and it seems that the rumors had not gone down well with her.
Talking with The Independent she opened up about how it all made her feel by describing the rumors saying,
“It feels base, it feels a little dirty, it feels grubby, it’s not what I’m about”
Furthermore, she added that her 61-year-old co-star, as well as the director Christopher McQuarrie, felt like “two uncles”. Therefore it was natural for her to feel upset about the rumors even if it is a constant and inevitable part of the entertainment world.
What Advice Did Tom Cruise Give To His Younger Co-star Hayley Atwell?
After Hayley Atwell shared her feelings about dating rumors with Mission Impossible 7 co-star Tom Cruise, the latter helped her deal with it by giving a piece of effective advice. Cruise who is about 20 years senior to Atwell is naturally more used to dating and romantic linkups throughout his career till now.
And with all that experience it was fitting for him to give out advice to his younger co-stars in the same situation. According to Atwell the Top Gun star advised her saying,
“thing that matters. It doesn’t matter what people think of you, if you are in integrity with yourself”
And not just this, but Cruise seems to have provided a lot more guidance at various points of their production process.
