“He dressed me like a dime store prostitute”: Kelly Ripa Passed Out During S*x With Co-Star Mark Consuelos to Find Herself in a Hospital Dressed as a Prostitute in Her Most Vulnerable State
American actress Kelly Ripa is excited about her forthcoming tome Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories which will be on sale on September 28. While the tome is about to come out, she shares a racy incident involving her husband Mark Consuelos where she passed out and found herself in an emergency room “dressed like a cheap prostitute”.

Kelly Ripa Confessed About an Incident Where Her Husband Mark Consuelos Dressed Her Like A Prostitute
The 51-year-old talk show host Kelly Ripa as reported by Haute Living shared an incident when she was newly married to her husband Mark Consuelos and became a new mother with their then six-month-old son, Michael. She explained how she indulged in early-morning intimate moments with her husband when a ruptured ovarian cyst caused her to pass out.
She shared, “My eyes shift between the fuzzy images on the screen, the remnants of my ovarian tormentor, and Mark happily snacking away. S*x can be so traumatic I think, and yet one of us is completely undaunted.”
The actress wrote in her book of short stories, “There he is, happily munching on the saltines now and ordering a second apple juice. Mark could be at a movie or a spa. Instead, I’m flat on my back wondering when the other two cysts will burst.”
The chapter Don’t Let Your Husband Pick Your Death Clothes was titled like that because the actress dressed like a “prostitute” during her emergency. She wrote, “Also, here is my husband, who is, dare I say, stylish, well-dressed at all times, and yet he dressed me like a dime store prostitute in my time of need. It’s still baffling to me to this day that this is the best costume for the day that he could find for me, to the point where, when I was on the stretcher, I thought I was dreaming; I was having a nightmare,” she added. “I didn’t realize I had come to.”
When she woke up in the emergency room, her husband had dressed her in a 1980s-style French-cut leotard paired with red Manolo Blahnik shoes while Consuelos was enjoying some snacks.

The couple met on the set of the soap opera All My Children in 1995 and married the very next year and shared three children, Michael, Lola, and Joaquin. The couple also co-owns own a New York-based production company, Milojo.
She credited her husband in the process of completing her book, “Mark was my biggest champion in the whole process,” she stated. “He read it with the eye of not just a person reading it because they had to save their own marriage, but with the eye of a reader. He would recall things that he found pertinent, or relevant or language that he didn’t understand.”
Ripa’s book Live Wire: Long-Winded Short Stories is scheduled to be published on September 27.
