“He f**king calls me again, I’ll beat the f**k out of him”: James Gandolfini Nearly Assaulted Rapist Harvey Weinstein For Forcing Him To Attend Talk Shows, Reveals The Sopranos Co-Star On Joe Rogan Podcast
The Sopranos star James Gandolfini once said that he will “beat the f**k out” of Harvey Weinstein because he repeatedly asked him to appear on talk shows. His Sopranos co-stars Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli talked about the story when they appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in 2020. James Gandolfini would have turned 61 on 18th September 2022. The actor, who was widely known for his role as Tony Sopranos, died of a heart attack on 19th June 2013. While Harvey Weinstein is currently in prison as he was found guilty of sexual assault and rape in 2020.

Sopranos stars Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience in 2020 and talked about how James Gandolfini wanted to beat up Harvey Weinstein because he was constantly asking him to appear on talk shows. The two were working on the 2012 movie Killing Them Softly at the time. James Gandolfini did not appear on talk shows because he thought he was not “interesting” enough.

Harvey Weinstein repeatedly called James Gandolfini
Steve Schirripa and Michael Imperioli explained that James Gandolfini was in his trailer hanging out with his Sopranos co-stars and suddenly he was getting calls from Harvey Weinstein asking him to appear on The Late Show With David Letterman to promote the movie. The Sopranos stars said on the podcast,
“He said, ‘Harvey Weinstein keeps calling, he wants me to do Letterman and I said no.’ And he got f**king nasty with Jim. Jim said, ‘I will beat the f**k out of Harvey Weinstein! He f**king calls me again, I will beat the f**k out of him! For the money he paid me, I’m not f**king doing it!’ Swear to God. And this is before all the Harvey Weinstein s**t when he was still king s**t.”
Ultimately, James Gandolfini did not listen to him as he did not appear on the show. The actor died of a heart attack on 19th June 2013 at the age of 51.

Harvey Weinstein is currently in prison
In 2020, Harvey Weinstein was sentenced to 23 years in prison after he was found guilty of sexual assault and rape in a landmark trial. A lot of women have accused Harvey Weinstein of sexual misconduct over the past few years. He was imposed 20 years for a first-degree criminal sex act for forcing oral sex on a production assistant named Miriam Haley, and three years for the third-degree rape of a woman who opted for anonymity.
