In Twisters, Glen Powell‘s portrayal of a storm chaser shows his dedication as an actor. His co-star mentioned that Powell went beyond just memorizing lines—he really immersed himself in the role. He actively researched the books about weather and the fascinating world of storm chasers.

Glen Powell and Tom Cruise, co-stars of the hit movie Top Gun: Maverick, recently hung out together in London. Powell went to see his new disaster movie Twisters at a special showing, and fans got a surprise when Cruise joined him. Cruise also posted pictures from the event on Instagram, captioning, “Fun night with friends, watching a movie!!”
Fans noticed the Top Gun connection right away, with many speculating about a possible sequel. The official Top Gun Instagram account also chimed in, calling them “Our Maverick and Hangman [with applause, heart and aeroplane emojis]),” referring to Cruise’s character Pete “Maverick” Mitchell and Powell’s role as Jake “Hangman” Seresin.
