Honestly, I learned a lot from many different directors. I had just worked with Steven Soderberg right beforehand and you know obviously he’s the master that he is, but he edits in his mind and so he is so efficient in his shooting. I think that was something I really learned from in terms of okay like don’t just shoot the normal like okay we’re going to go wide then we’re going to close actually think about what it is that you want to express and then you can also make your shots more interesting.
This priceless learning went a long way in establishing Kravitz as a director to look out for. From shocking twists and turns in the story to elaborate scenes with attention to detail, Blink Twice echoes the prevalent issues of society in an artful manner that the masses cannot help but pay attention to. Kravitz was also able to envision the scene as she would like to see on the big screen while she shot them in real-time. This further enhanced her ultimate vision for the movie and ensured it ended up exactly as she imagined.
