Reese Witherspoon Wasn’t Sure About Jim Roth’s Job Switch
According to RadarOnline, the issues in Reese Witherspoon’s marriage started after her husband left his job at the Hollywood talent agency CAA and joined Jeffrey Katzenberg’s streaming platform, Quibi. Sources have revealed that Roth worked with CAA for 23 years, and his clients included Hollywood stars like Jamie Foxx, Robert Downey Jr., Scarlett Johansson, and Matthew McConaughey.
However, he decided to quit CAA in 2019 and join Quibi as head of content acquisitions and talent. Sources have revealed that the Cruel Intentions actress was not sure about his new job, but Tim Roth assured her that “he was up for the challenge and felt confident he’d bring home millions.” However, things went horribly wrong as the streaming service shut down six months after its launch and lost nearly $2 billion.
The Couple’s Relationship Was Reportedly Strained
Insiders have also revealed that they have been facing issues in their relationships for some time. Sources shared that the couple started getting cold, and Reese Witherspoon’s work schedule could also be the reason behind their split. “They present as very cold and businesslike. The passion is nonexistent, and they are living very separate lives,” sources revealed.
According to People, the Wild star is upset and disappointed as she never wanted another divorce. Insiders also claimed that things happened quickly for Witherspoon and Roth, saying, “Reese was thrilled by his attention and excited to marry him. They are two very different people though” Insiders claimed that while the Legally Blonde star is “very hard-working,” her ex-husband, being “laidback,” was unable to meet her energy.
