“He should be a cranky old Spider-Person”: Pedro Pascal is Coming to Spider-Verse? Oscar Isaac Wants ‘The Mandalorian’ Star in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Sequel

Oscar Isaac has gained a lot of attention with his new movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. Isaac plays Spider-Man 2099, the formidable foe to Miles in the sequel. His addition to the franchise has become a successful one. During an interview, the Card Counter actor revealed he would like his pal Pascal to join the Spider-Verse.

Oscar Isaac wants Pedro Pascal to join the Spider-Verse series
Oscar Isaac is part of the highly anticipated animated movie Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse that recently dropped in theaters. The sequel of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse earned $51.75 million on opening day. Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099, voiced by Oscar Isaac, has become an exceptional character. A threequel, Beyond the Spider-Verse, is planned to release in March 2024.
During his interview with British GQ, Issac spoke to recruit Pedro Pascal to the Spider-Verse. Pascal is one of the renowned actors in the entertainment industry. His role in The Last of Us has made him an internet sensation.
The 44-year-old, when asked to add anyone else for the next movie instantly took the Mandalorian star’s name. He said, “Let’s find something for him. He should be a Spider-Person — like a cranky, old Spider-Person.”
The 48-year-old, suggested by the Moon Knight star, seems like the ideal friend for Miguel, who, as Across the Spider-Verse demonstrates, can be quite the grump himself. Pascal, who has already starred in both the DCEU and Star Wars franchises, would undoubtedly be in excellent company if he decided to jump into the Spider-Verse.
Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal are decade-old friends
Oscar Isaac and Pedro Pascal met in 2005. They performed together on stage in a play titled Beauty of the Father. From the first minute the actors met, they clicked. But as they became serious and connected over their similar problems with being stereotyped because of their Latino origin, Pascal and Isaac overcame that barrier and entered a lifetime friendship.
The duo starred together in the 2019 action-thriller Triple Frontier. Apart from that, their friendship is noteworthy since they just like spending out together and frequently discuss one another in interviews. Isaac has called the Mandalorian star his family and feels proud of his pal’s successful acting career.
