“He was having an affair with my wife”: Alex Rodriguez Reportedly Cheated on Jennifer Lopez With His Mentor Jose Canseco’s Wife, Claimed Latina Bombshell Was Not His Preferred Type
Alex Rodriguez and Jennifer Lopez were very close and loved as a couple by the media and fans. The duo got engaged in March 2019 and were in no rush to get married. However, the pandemic happened in 2020, therefore, foiling their plans for marriage and the couple eventually announced their breakup in April 2021. Rodriguez’s long-time rival, Jose Canseco took a dig at A-Rod in January 2021 and said the couple would break up that year. And to everyone’s surprise, they did.
This was not the first time Canseco took a dig at A-Rod though. He even accused A-Rod of having an affair with his wife back in 2008.

Alex Rodriguez and Jose Canseco were quite good friends in 2008. Even Canseco stated in an interview that he saw A-Rod as “one of his protégés.” The former Oakland Athletics outfielder said, “Everything changed when I found out he was having an affair with my wife Jessica, and that sparked my contempt for him and to tell everyone who A-Rod really is.” In 2019, he again accused the former Yankee star of cheating on J.Lo. He said, “watching J.Lo text Alex Rodriguez little does she know that he is cheating on her.”

When he brought back these allegations in 2019, Jessica Canseco had to answer and defend herself. She took it to Twitter and said, “Those false accusations Jose is making are not true!” She further added, “I have known Alex for many years and haven’t even seen him for over 5. I certainly did not sleep with him. I am friendly with both him and Jennifer.” A-Rod on the other hand has never chosen to speak on the matter.
A-Rod got called out by his former mentor for his interest in fitness models
In a series of tweets, Canseco predicted in early 2021 that J.Lo and A-Rod will break up soon. He even said that after the breakup, “Alex Rodriguez will hook up with a fitness model.” Earlier this year in January, the Oakland Athletics outfielder again took a shot at Rodriguez and wrote,
“it’s obviously you like blondes who are fitness models with light eyes I told everyone you would end up with one. Jennifer Lopez was never your type or your age.“
MLB fans aren’t particularly unfamiliar with this kind of banter. Canseco has always tried to bring down the former Yankees star in any way he can since 2008.
