Halle Berry Seeks Full Custody of Son Maceo
According to People, Halle Berry wants to have full custody of her 10-year-old son, Maceo, claiming his father, Olivier Martinez, isn’t working well with her on parenting and won’t talk properly about what Maceo needs. The mother of two filed a request on August 16, 2024, in a Los Angeles court, asking for full custody of Maceo and his schooling, health, and therapy.
She filed a complaint after accusing the French actor of not sticking with their co-parenting coach. The Union star said Martinez has been uncooperative about their son’s education and behavior, claiming he puts soccer before their son’s needs, which has made things worse for Maceo.
The founder of Pendulum Therapeutics stated that after Maceo spends long periods with his father, he starts acting out and repeating conflicts between his parents. Martinez has allegedly refused to make needed changes and has made decisions about Maceo’s care on his own.
Berry and Martinez, who were married from 2013 to 2015, have had persistent co-parenting disputes. Berry has been in a relationship with musician Van Hunt since 2020 and is said to be content in her current partnership.
