The Tampa police department has been waiting outside Antonio Brown’s home since Thursday, December 1, awaiting his surrender, as an arrest warrant for domestic violence charges has been issued against him. Since a week has passed, it appears that he has barricaded himself inside his house and authorities are waiting for him to come out of his house to put him behind bars.
He has been the subject of numerous controversies for months, mainly because of the pictures he used for his social media posts. Despite not appearing publicly in weeks, Brown is believed to be at home. He has been accused of threatening the mother of his children, including threats to shoot her. His partner allegedly claimed that he threw her belongings onto the street during an altercation.
Despite not knowing whether Brown is inside his home, police sources believe he is, so they are waiting for him to emerge to arrest him. Sooner or later, he will either have to surrender and appear before the authorities or be arrested. According to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office website, the arrest warrant is for a misdemeanor domestic battery.
