Christmas is all about love, family, and togetherness. And for Tom Holland and Zendaya, it’s shaping up to be extra special this year. These two stars, who first met on the set of Spider-Man: Homecoming back in 2016, have been inseparable since going public with their relationship in 2021.
Now, with their bond stronger than ever, they’re gearing up for a festive season full of love, laughter, and cozy moments with family (and yes, cute dogs too!). Here’s what’s in store for this adorable duo this holiday season.
Tom Holland shared his plans for Christmas with Zendaya and her family
Tom Holland recently spilled the beans on his holiday plans during an appearance on the Dish Podcast with Nick Grimshaw and Angela Hartnett. The actor revealed that he’ll be celebrating Christmas in the United States this year with Zendaya and her family. He said:
I’m gonna be in America this year. I’ll be with my girlfriend’s family, which will be fun. Where we’ll be is a secret.
But that’s not all. Holland shared a bigger dream for their future holidays—bringing both their families together for one big celebration. The Hollywood star added:
I think what we’d like to start doing is rather than like, spending it with each family each year is to bring the families together. That’s what I think we want to do next time. This time, ’cause we’re both actors, we’re terrible at organising things. So it hasn’t happened yet. The thought’s there. The idea has been planted.
This dream holiday wouldn’t just include their loved ones—it would also have their furry family members. Holland’s Doberman puppy and Zendaya’s miniature schnauzer, Noon, are both part of the plan too.
Tom Holland talked about cooking for Zendaya
When it comes to winning hearts, Tom Holland isn’t just relying on his acting chops—he’s also getting creative in the kitchen. He opened up about how Zendaya’s vegetarian lifestyle has inspired him to explore new recipes. He shared on the same podcast:
I’m starting to venture into a lot of vegetarian cooking [because] my girlfriend’s vegetarian.
His go-to dish? Chili con lentils, a veggie twist on the classic chili con carne. But Zendaya’s culinary skills are just as impressive. Holland couldn’t stop raving about her spicy vodka fusilli, which he calls his favorite dish to eat.
With the holidays around the corner, it’s likely this couple will whip up some festive vegetarian dishes together. Vegetarian stuffing? Fancy lentil roasts? Whatever’s on the menu, it’s going to be delicious. Holland’s cooking in the kitchen, Zendaya’s taste-testing—their Christmas table will be full of flavor.
Tom Holland remembered his toughest Christmas during COVID
Not every Christmas is picture-perfect, and Tom Holland knows this all too well. He reflected on his toughest holiday yet, which happened in 2020 during the height of the pandemic. The 28-year-old told Nick Grimshaw:
The first time I spent Christmas away from home was in America, and unfortunately, not by choice.
Holland had been working non-stop, filming two movies back-to-back and doing press tours during Covid. Despite all that, he managed to avoid catching the virus—until the very last moment.
And after the Spider-Man 3 premiere was the last day of work I had, I was supposed to fly home the next day for Christmas, and I got Covid. So, I spent like two weeks in essentially the guest bedroom and just was by myself. It was a pretty rough Christmas, to be fair.
Thankfully, this year is looking much brighter. With Zendaya and her family by his side, Holland is determined to make this Christmas, one to remember.
