Tom Cruise once turned off the oxygen of a man while flying at a high altitude
Controversies surround the actor often, and back in 1999, the actor shared an incident that left the fans wondering if he is okay. In an appearance on Late Late Show with David Letterman, the actor shared an incident wherein he admitted to having turned off the oxygen mask for a passenger while flying at a high altitude due to the lack of enough oxygen in the aircraft. The actor stated,
“One time we were flying to Colorado, and I was flying the airplane. We had to go on oxygen, and the winds were better at a higher altitude so we climbed up and I realized that we couldn’t stay at that altitude if I had to descend because I didn’t have enough oxygen. I had a passenger in the back so we figured out you know me and the co-pilot that if we turned off the oxygen of the back guy then we could make it in this altitude.”

David Letterman called out Tom Cruise’s actions
The actor’s move was criticized by the Late Late Show host, who stated,
“Looking at it from another direction isn’t that attempted manslaughter? You just turned a guy’s oxygen off. You’re lucky you’re not doing time, for the love of God.”
However, the actor remained unfazed and continued to laugh about the incident despite the seriousness of the situation.
