Angus T. Jones was a popular star who gained prominence by playing the youngest role in the sitcom, Two and a Half Men. Though he had a bright career ahead, everything was shattered in a moment when he ranted about being in the show and never wanted to be a part of it.
In a follow-up, actor Charlie Sheen sided with him and focused his rants on the show creator, Chuck Lorre by stating that the former’s behavior was affected due to the creator.
He shared,
“Obviously, not having been there for some time, the Angus T. Jones that I knew and still love is not the same guy I saw on YouTube yesterday.”
The duo had an uncle-nephew relationship on-screen which is why fans knew that they shared somewhat of the same bond with each other in real life. He blamed Lorre’s dictatorship for Jones’s behavior.
“I dare anyone to spend 10 years in the laugh track that is Chuck Lorre’s hive of oppression and not suffer from some form of an emotional tsunami.”
This happened after the young star made some harsh remarks on the very show that gave him immense popularity.
Angus T. Jones Called Two and a Half Men Show Filthy
Back in 2012, Jones in a video for the Forerunner Chronicles, a Christian group criticized the sitcom series by claiming it is “filth” and asking the fans to stop watching it. Well, that was a complete disaster as he was one of the main leads in the show.
He stated at the time,
“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men. I’m on Two and a Half Men and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it and filling your head with filth.”
Shortly after his rants, Sheen who was then fired from the show stated his opinion on his former co-star stating to The Hollywood Reporter,
“He’s a good kid and maybe he’s just going through a phase but it’s hard to comment on something if I’m not there.”
He continued to state,
“I don’t think he’s crazy, I just think he’s a little maybe over-influenced in some other beliefs.”
This was because the youngest star of the show criticized the show when he was under the influence of his faith in religion. However, he, later on, regretted his mistake and issued an apology. Meanwhile, Sheen was fired from the show in 2011 when he was charged with a felony that happened after his altercation with his ex-wife, Brooke Mueller.
