“He’s a turncoat, a traitor, a troll”: Unhinged Charlie Sheen Sent Angry Video to Two and Half Men Co-Star After Getting Fired From the Show
Charlie Sheen has had a roller coaster of a career. A career that was at its zenith when he featured in Two and a Half Men. Sheen has had his run-ins with destiny, having a history of dabbling in substance abuse, which ballooned into serious addiction over a period of time. It was when that happened that he had to finally part ways with the show that made him the behemoth he was. Only natural that he wasn’t pleased with that at all. He wanted to give some people a piece of his mind, including his co-star Jon Cryer.
Charlie Sheen and his history of controversies
Charlie Sheen was an important part of Two and a Half Men, having featured in a total of 177 episodes over the course of 8 seasons. It was after these that the much-adored jingle writer died a sudden death. But everyone knew that the character of Charlie Harper was killed off because of different reasons.
The 57-year-old made odd remarks about Chuck Lorre, the man behind the show. In an interview, he called the producer some choice words like ‘turd’, ‘clown’, ‘charlatan’, and ‘p*ssy’. Add this to his already long list of other controversies he had been involved in, he was fired from the show.
A brotherly feud
Sheen felt that he had been backstabbed. The dismissal wasn’t the only thing that disappointed him. It was the support he received from his co-star, Jon Cryer, that hurt him a lot. And the 9/11 star clearly wasn’t looking to get things back to normal, taking a dig at the Hit By Lightning star.
In an interview with E! News, he said,
“Like I said, you’re with me, or you’re with the trolls. Obviously [Jon Cryer is] with the trolls. Jon has not called me. He’s a turncoat, a traitor, a troll. Clearly he’s a troll. He issued a statement. Is it gonna take me calling him a traitor, juvenile and scared for him to get it?”
He didn’t stop there.
Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer are not on good terms after all this time
On being asked how he would respond if Jon Cryer reached out to him now, Sheen replied,
“What’s there to say? I’ll tell him ‘You’re a little late. Goodbye, troll.’ When I’m starring in multimillion-dollar films and he’s begging me for a supporting role I’ll say, ‘You left me out in the cold with all of your guilt and stupidity.”
Seems like all traces of brotherly love are a thing of the past. Years down the line, when Cryer was asked about the dynamics between the two, he replied, “It was crazy. It was way more craziness than I really was hoping for, honestly.”
He also confirmed that it had been years since the two had been out of contact, a fact he seemed to have no qualms with.
