“He’s heaven! He’s got a s*xuality!”: Lois Lane Star Margot Kidder Compares Christopher Reeve to Henry Cavill, Says She “couldn’t get enough of him”
Margaret Ruth Kidder, better known as Margot Kidder, is well-known for portraying Lois Lane in the first four films of the Superman film franchise from 1978 to 1987. Although she had taken up acting as a profession as early as 1968, Kidder did not gain recognition until she starred as Lois Lane alongside Christopher Reeve’s Superman.

The movie was also nominated for numerous accolades including three Academy Awards. Margot Kidder Found Henry Cavill’s Superman Sexier
Christopher Reeve starred as the DC comic superhero Clark Kent aka Superman in four movies that also featured Margot Kidder’s Lois Lane. Following the mixed-to-negative reactive reactions to the last two movies of the series, Warner Bros. decided to terminate its further development.
In 2006, in an attempt to reboot the franchise, Bryan Singer starred as the superhero in Superman Returns which did quite well, and then came, DCEU’s Man of Steel with Henry Cavill in the lead role. Although Kidder was replaced by Amy Adams for the role of Lois Lane, she paid close attention to Cavill’s Superman.
In an interview with MTV News, Kidder said that she believed The Witcher star brought something to the role that Christopher Reeve couldn’t. She said:
“Oh my god, he’s heaven. He’s heaven! He’s got a s*xuality! As wonderful as Christopher Reeve was — and he was wonderful and perfect — he was not exactly a big steaming heap of s*xuality. And this Cavill really is. I loved him on The Tudors. I couldn’t get enough of him.”
The Black Christmas star seemed to have taken a liking to Henry Cavill as she compared him to her late co-star Christopher Reeve. The Enola Holmes star’s hard work paid off since he had been consuming 5,000 calories and training for 2 hours a day to get the muscular body that he needed for the role.
Margot Kidder Did Not Like The New Superman

In an interview with Heyuguys, Kidder said:
“I think there was a cynical decision on the part of the studios, which are now owned by multi-national conglomerates just like everything else on the planet. So they would make these artistic decisions by non-artists – guys would want to hit the millennial demographic because they literally make up about one-quarter of the population.”
