However, the actress never thought in her wildest dreams that she would need to break the news of their divorce in March 2023, just before their wedding anniversary.
According to a source close to the ex-couple who told People magazine, Witherspoon, and Toth are best friends and they made this decision amicably. They are dedicated to co-parenting their kid together. They care about their entire family and want everything to go as smoothly as possible for them.
Reese Witherspoon Upset Over Jim Toth’s Divorce
Reese Witherspoon, who was married to her ex-husband Ryan Phillippe, and shares two children, Ava and Deacon, with him, is hurt by her recent divorce. The former couple got divorced in 2008 after getting married in 1999. Following Witherspoon and Toth’s wedding, Phillippe spoke to the New York Daily News and said, “I’m ecstatic for both Reese and Jim. I wish nothing but the best for the mother of my children.”
A source close to the couple told People magazine,
“Reese is obviously disappointed and upset. She never saw herself getting another divorce. They love Tennessee and this is their focus.”
The source continued,
“They will continue to co-parent amicably. There is no drama. After she was set up with Jim, their relationship moved quickly. Reese was thrilled by his attention and excited to marry him.”
The source further adds,
“They are two very different people though. Reese is headstrong and focused. Although hard-working, Jim is more laidback.”
The former couple exchanged vows at Your Place or Mine actress home in Ojai, California in 2011. The actress and her former husband recently announced via Instagram that they are parting ways after 12 years of marriage. It’s never easy to move on from a loved one, especially when you’ve been together for more than a decade. According to reports, their decision was amicable, they have no animosity towards each other and they are focussing on co-parenting their son.

Reese Witherspoon is disappointed and upset about her divorce from Jim Toth because she never imagined that, after a decade-long marriage, they would part ways.
The former couple shared the news of their divorce via Instagram and wrote,
“It is with a great deal of care and consideration that we have made the difficult decision to divorce We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together.“
The statement continued,
“Our biggest priority is our son and our entire family as we navigate this next chapter. These matters are never easy and are extremely personal. We truly appreciate everyone’s respect for our family’s privacy at this time.”
Reese Witherspoon and Jim Toth announced their divorce news on social media just before their wedding anniversary. A source revealed to US Weekly that they had started separating their assets long before their split.
