Johnny Depp resumes work after the defamation trial
Johnny Depp is all set to mark his comeback in the industry with his upcoming film, Jeanne Du Barry. Depp has resumed work one year after his controversial defamation trial with Amber Heard. After starring in several blockbuster films, Depp has returned with another big project directed by Maïwenn.
The actor will be featured as French King Louis XV in the upcoming film. The film narrates the story of the King of France’s last royal mistress, Jeanne du Barry, who was born poor but, with her agility and intellect, managed to climb the social ladder and became Louis XV’s favorite partner. Depp is starring alongside Maïwenn who is the director and the lead protagonist of the film. Apart from this movie, the actor will be starring in the sequel to Beetlejuice, and after almost two decades, Depp will mark his return as director of the upcoming film Modigliani.
