“Hours and hours standing… It really takes a toll”: After Medical Scare Rumors, Kelly Ripa Reveals How the Fast Hollywood Lifestyle Has Destroyed Her Body
The After Oscar Show is finally back after a 2 years-long break due to the Covid pandemic. The After Oscar Show is a tradition of the Live! show that takes place the morning after the Oscar Awards ceremony. Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest will fly all the way to Los Angeles and conduct interviews at the famed Dolby theatre on the biggest night in Hollywood. The duo would conduct interviews backstage with the Oscar winners all night and will then host Live!, the next morning at the Dolby theatre itself.
In a recent interview, Ripa shared her views about returning to the Dolby theatre. After her recent health problems, the American TV personality is allegedly a bit nervous about hosting the After Oscar show.
Kelly Ripa why she is excited to host the After Oscar Show again
In a recent interview with Variety, Kelly Ripa talked about her return to hosting the fan-favorite show. The interviewer asked Ripa and Ryan Seacrest if they are excited to host After Oscar Show again. Ripa answered that the backstage interview she conducts after a star has won an Oscar award is the best interview. She said, “It is the best interview because people who have just won an Academy Award will tell you anything. Even the questions you didn’t ask, they’re going to tell you the answer.”
The 95th Oscars award ceremony will be held on Sunday, March 12, 2023.
The Live! with Kelly and Ryan host talks about her rituals for the big night
The interviewer asked Kelly Ripa, “Do you have any rituals in preparation for the show on Oscars Sunday?“. Ripa has done the show for many years so she does have many rituals in place. She started describing her day in the interview. She said, “It’s one of those rare days where I’ll wake up late because everything is happening so late.” Ripa further added that she will also review all of her notes before going to the show.
The All My Children actor also explained the importance of taking Advil before the big night. She said, “I make sure that I take Advil so that my feet don’t suffer because you spend hours and hours and hours standing in high heels, and it really takes a toll.” Her medical scare rumors had already caused enough confusion throughout the entertainment industry.
The American TV personality was making headlines earlier this month as she still did the show after being very sick. Ripa tested negative for everything but was still not getting better. It got so bad at one point that she was even not unable to speak but she still refused to take a break. At this point, the show’s producer, Michael Gelman stepped in and made her take a few days off against her will.
