The forthcoming three-hour stunning drama movie Babylon, starring Brad Pitt and Margot Robbie, is set for release on 23 December 2022. This movie is written and directed by Oscar-winner Damien Chazelle, who is known for his films Whiplash (2014), La La Land (2016), and First Man (2018). During an interview with E! News, Margot Robbie reveals that she pitched the idea herself for a kiss scene with Brad Pitt in Babylon, which was totally unscripted.

In the upcoming film, Margot Robbie plays an aspiring actress of the 1920s who recruits Hollywood hotshot Jack (Brad Pitt) to help to accomplish her dream. Both actors also starred in The Big Short (2015) and Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood (2019), winning Brad Pitt the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. However, it was the first time they had been in a scene together in any movie, and according to the Suicide Squad actress, it was a fabulous experience.

Fans Slammed Margot Robbie Over Sneaking A Kiss With Brad Pitt

In response to her impromptu scene, social media users slammed the Suicide Squad star Margot Robbie as the scene would be considered assault if she were a male actor. The actress revealed in an E! News interview that the kiss between her and Brad Pitt‘s characters didn’t initially exist in the script, but she pushed for it during filming for a personal reason. Fortunately, it also suited her character and story perfectly.

Robbie said, “ You know that was improvised? It wasn’t in the script. But I thought, ‘When else am I gonna get the chance to kiss Brad Pitt? I’m just gonna go for it.'”

She said that the director also liked it and continued, “He was like, ‘No, do it again. That works.’ I was like, ‘Oh, great.'”

Despite Robbie’s explanation, fans did not let his unscripted kiss go unnoticed. They immediately began criticizing her after her interview was released. Take a look at what fans have to say:

The script is clearly the most essential part of making a movie, without it, this creative process would be unstructured. There are, however, times when improvised/quickly thought-of moments turn out to be highlights of the final product. Margot Robbie brought this to the Director’s attention, and he realized that it made sense within the story context.
