In the latest batch of speculations, it is being said that Hugh Jackman’s tenure as Wolverine will not end in the highly anticipated third installment of the Deadpool franchise. And that the clawed mutant will cross paths with an iconic Marvel Supervillain Kang the Conqueror, who will be played by Jonathan Majors, in the Avengers: Secret Wars.

Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine in Avengers: Secret Wars?
Since the rumor of Hugh Jackman being in Deadpool 3 was confirmed, every minor rumor and speculation surrounding Jackman in the MCU has spread like wildfire. The newest word in the Marvel town is that Jackman will continue playing the role of Wolverine for a couple more years. Namely, in the 2027 expected masterpiece, Avengers: Secret Wars.

When Jonathan Majors‘ Kang the Conqueror, with the powers of time travel and immortality, was announced to be a part of the greatly anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars, fans couldn’t help but notice how having a character like that only opens the gates of the Multiverse wider. There are no official announcements of Jackman’s involvement in Avengers: Secret Wars, but fans hold out hope.
Hugh Jackman’s Run as Wolverine
The work and dedication Hugh Jackman has put into playing Wolverine has made him synonymous with the the character. Staying in shape for over two decades, to portray the clawed mutant’s agelessness and the nuanced complexities of the character as he loses loved ones, was a mountain of a task; which Jackman conquered.
The Canadian actor first played Wolverine in Bryan Singer’s X-Men in 2000. His killer acting skills and embodiment of the character to a tee overshadowed the lack of physical resemblance. Logan quickly became a fan-favorite character, and a huge factor responsible for the success of the X-Men movies.
After winning numerous accolades for his work as Wolverine, Jackman had taken a step back from the role. Fans had assumed that they had seen the last of Jackman as Logan but they were gladly proven wrong with the confirmation of his feature in Deadpool 3.
Not only that, but the possibility of him having a big role in Avengers: Secret Wars seems promising. Will it actually happen? Only a confirmation from the studios will tell or time will tell.
