“I came for fun”: Gal Gadot Never Wanted to Win Miss Israel, Fast X Star Reveals Only Part of the Contest She Liked
Gal Gadot is a prominent figure in the entertainment industry. The actress has been part of many successful ventures in Hollywood. After having roles in several television shows and films in the 2000s and 2010s, she catapulted to fame with her portrayal of the DC Universe superhero Wonder Woman.
Gadot made her acting debut as Wonder Woman in the 2016 film Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice. She later took it on again in the 2017 film Wonder Woman and the 2020 film Wonder Woman 1984. She is also known for playing Gisele Yashar in the billion-dollar Fast and Furious trilogy. The 38-year-old has also won beauty pageants, and in a recent interview, she discussed in detail her time as a pageant queen.
Gal Gadot shares details of her participation in beauty pageants
Gal Gadot made her Hot Ones debut and ate some increasingly spicy chicken wings. She was joined by host Sean Evans, on the season 21 finale of the popular YouTube series. During her time on the show, the 38-year-old discussed performing her own stunts while playing Wonder Woman in the DCU.
Gadot rose to fame after her portrayal of the superhero character in the franchise. She was a combat fitness instructor when she served two years of national military service. The actress revealed that helped her perform her own cinematic stunts in her action-packed roles.
Apart from being a star, the Israeli actress has been the winner of 2004’s Miss Israel. In the show, she discussed in detail her participation in the beauty shows. The Wonder Woman actress said,
“When I went to Miss Israel in Israel, to begin with, I went for the experience and so I could tell my grandkids that grandma — and then I won and that was shocking.”
She in between increasingly hot mouthfuls added,
“I never meant to win, I came for fun, and all of a sudden — it’s funny, you’re 18, you’re not taking things very seriously. The only part that I enjoyed doing was the opening sequence with the dance.”
Gal Gadot revealed that she had no plans to pursue acting while she was participating in Miss Israel. The 38-year-old confessed the opportunity kind of came her way, and she later fell in love with the profession.
Gal Gadot’s upcoming projects
Gal Gadot first appeared as Wonder Woman in the 2016 film Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. She later reprised the role in other two films. The Israeli actress made a cameo appearance as Wonder Woman in the movie Shazam! Fury of the Gods and The Flash. However, DCU confirmed dropping Wonder Woman 3.
Although the cancellation of the superhero film hurt the fans, Gal Gadot still has a lot of projects in development. Her most recent project is titled Heart of Stone. The action-packed thriller is one of the most anticipated films of the actress. She plays CIA operative Rachel Stone in the Netflix-exclusive film, which also stars Alia Bhatt and Jamie Dornan.
Apart from the Netflix film, the Red Notice star will play the brutal Evil Queen in a new adaptation of Snow White. The 38-year-old will reprise her role opposite Dwayne Johnson and Ryan Reynolds in the follow-up to the enormously successful Netflix film Red Notice.
