Kevin Nash reveals his distressing state of mind in the aftermath of his son’s death
The recent episode of the Kliq This podcast marked Tristen Nash’s three-month death anniversary. And Kevin Nash paid homage to his late son, saying,
“Today is week 12 that I lost my boy.”
The next thing he said was a very disturbing revelation,
“Time flies when you got a gun in your mouth. I mean — time flies when you’re having fun.”
However, his co-host, Sean Oliver, cut in instantly and tried to swerve his mind and the conversation,
“Don’t play like that. You have guns, so you can’t say those things.”
However, the Dog actor wasn’t one to listen, and retorted,
“I can do whatever the f*ck I wanna do. Long as I leave a note.”
The topic was then stirred into a different direction about how the 63-year-old was coping with his grief. Nash confessed how telling everyone that he’s fine comes easier to him, even when it is the biggest lie. He then went on to share how even getting out of bed every morning has become a perpetual struggle.
The episode’s comment section was rife with concern, love, and support for the aggrieved father. Fans were more than scared about his state of mind and wanted to make sure he was coping.
Nash had disclosed in an October episode of his podcast that his son had passed due to a seizure on October 20. “The seizure caused the cardiac arrest,” he said. He further shared that the two had decided to try sobriety which led to the seizure.
“We both decided that we were going to stop drinking, so it was a situation where you know we both went cold turkey. I don’t think either of us felt great because you stop drinking coffee for a day, and you get a headache. I think we were both dealing with it.”
Nash was then asked the reason behind their decision to go sober by cohost Oliver. He answered,
“[Tristen] had had a couple of incidents. We actually sat up here last Wednesday, and in the course of the show, he drank four or five beers unbeknownst to me. … I got pissed at him because he had a situation at the beginning of the year where he was hospitalized for almost 60 days.”
When news of the demise was officially shared, people from all around came forward with their condolences for the departed and wished the family strength during their hard times.
