“I certainly wouldn’t be comfortable”: Jennifer Lopez Seemingly Disagrees With Ben Affleck As She Promotes Her Husband’s Latest Movie ‘Air’
The film Air, directed by Ben Affleck, will be released on April 5, 2023, and Jennifer Lopez is already excited about it. The film is about Sonny Vaccaro and Nike chasing basketball player Michael Jordan, resulting in a partnership that changed the sports industry and modern culture. The movie has been making waves on the internet ever since the trailer came out.
Since Lopez shared a story on Instagram about Air, fans have been wondering whether Jordon approved of the film or not.
Jennifer Lopez promotes Air without Michael Jordan’s approval
The On The Floor singer took to her social media to promote her husband Ben Affleck’s movie. Jennifer Lopez posted a picture of Affleck from one of the movie scenes and wrote, “A must-see in theatres!!! This Wednesday.” JLO asked her fans to go and watch her husband’s movie as she wanted to be a supportive wife. Lopez’s husband is still waiting for the former basketball player’s approval. Affleck said,
“I certainly wouldn’t be comfortable with promoting the movie any further by assigning Michael’s vote of approval to it. I will tell you that every step was taken along the way to make sure that he had every option available to him because of the respect that we have for him.”
Affleck said that he won’t be promoting the movie until he receives approval from Jordon. As Lopez’s post came out right after Affleck gave this statement, fans are curious to know if Jordon has approved of the film or not.
Michael Jordan has not yet commented on the film Air
Since its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival in March, the film has received rave reviews from critics. According to inside sources, neither Jordan nor his spokesperson has commented on the film when asked about it.
Air is the first movie coming out of Matt Damon and Affleck’s new production house, Artist Equity. Affleck is the CEO of the production house and Damon is the chief content officer. Damon also talked about the experience of working with his best friend after so long. The We Bought a Zoo actor joked and said,
“He’s been directing me for years, There’s a name for that and you say it out loud with a capital B.”
Damon also talked about the details they tried to capture while filming the movie. There were many core elements and details the best friend duo took care of. Damon said,
“We really wanted to try and capture that spirit of what it was like at Nike at that time and what these guys were like. They really bucked the conventional wisdom by doing this and the rest is history.”
Fans are excited to see Affleck and Damon on-screen, as the best friends will be sharing the screen again after many years. Damon is playing the role of Sonny Vaccaro, the marketing executive, and Affleck will be seen playing the role of Phil Knight
