“I didn’t sign up to have two babies”: Kanye West Was Not an Easy Boyfriend For Julia Fox Who Felt Overwhelmed With the Rapper
Kanye West is one of the greatest musicians in the world. In his career spanning nearly three decades, he has won numerous accolades including 24 Grammy Awards and the Brits Award for the Best International Male Solo Artist. Apart from making rap music, he also designs clothes and shoes and even owns the Yeezy brand.
Kanye West’s relationship with Kim Kardashian was highly publicized as they are both very famous. However, after about two years since rumors about their separation started circulating, the two of them finalized their divorce in November 2022. West dated Julia Fox shortly in early 2022, and recently, the actress revealed details about their relationship.

Dating Kanye West Was Hard For Julia Fox
One thing that can be said for sure about Kanye West, apart from the fact that he is an excellent artist, is that he loves making headlines. From interrupting Taylor Swift’s VMA acceptance speech to expressing his anti-semitic views, he has made headlines when one could be least expecting it.
West’s relationship with Julia Fox also made a lot of headlines even though it was quite short-lived. Although Fox had nothing but good things to say about the rapper when they had just started dating, she is now recounting her experience of dating West.
In an interview on The Drew Barrymore Show, Fox said that dating the Through The Wire singer was like having a second baby. She said:
“Ultimately I cannot put anybody else first. My son has to be first. It just became too much. I didn’t sign up to have two babies. I couldn’t do it. It felt like two babies.”
The Italian-American model is mother to a two-year-old baby boy Valentino, whom she shares with her ex-husband Peter Artemiev. As a mother, she obviously has her own responsibilities which can not be ignored so it seemed right of her to have separated her ways with Ye.
Julia Fox Didn’t Think The Relationship Would Gain So Much Publicity
Julia Fox met Kanye West for the first time on New Year’s Eve 2021. She wrote a blog post for Interview magazine detailing what their first and second dates were like. After that, they made several public appearances which were quite PDA-filled. Fox even shut down the accusations that she was dating Ye for money or fame.

While promoting her upcoming memoir Down the Drain on The Drew Barrymore Show, the model recounted that she was shocked by how quickly things got publicized about the relationship. She said:
“When I first met him, I literally thought nobody would ever hear about it, because a lot of the time you date these celebrities but they’re very hush-hush and they’re like, ‘Don’t post a picture in my bathroom.’ So I kinda just thought it would be a secret. So when it suddenly got mysteriously leaked, it wasn’t me, I really was just not expecting that at all, and then I just embraced it.”
Dating Kanye West and not becoming the center of public attention seems to be two mutually exclusive events. As of now, Fox is single and West is married to Australian architect Bianca Censori.
