“I don’t see why we wouldn’t”: Harry Styles Teases One Direction Reunion After 7 Years in James Corden’s Final Late Show Episode

The British boyband One Direction, commonly known as 1D, has been the heartthrob of millions during their era. Formed in 2010, 1D consisted of Harry Styles, Niall Horan, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, and Zayn Malik. The five members of the band gained immense popularity from their inception, until their hiatus in 2016, when they forged successful solo careers.

Desperate to see the members together after seven excruciating years, netizens formed a TikTok conspiracy that led people to believe that 1D would reunite on The Late Late Show With James Corden. However, Harry Styles didn’t rule out the possibility of such a desired reunion, thus convincing the internet with forever hope.

Blasting The TikTok Conspiracy Of One Direction Meetup

With The Late Late Show With James Corden coming to an end, Harry Styles appeared on the last episode of the talk show on Thursday. Although it was rumored that the entire One Direction band was supposed to have a reunion on the last episode, show-makers debunked the TikTok speculations, previously, via social media. 

Calling it a “FALSE ALARM” in red letters, the official Twitter account of the talk show was forced to address the rumors in order to avoid backlash and disappointment on its last day. However, the episode did feature the Grammy-winning singer Harry Styles during its regular Spill Your Guts Or Fill Your Guts game. 

Accompanied by comedian and actor Will Ferrell, Styles was seen answering questions and eating bizarre foods. Addressing the crowds’ desire to witness a One Direction reunion, James Corden threw the highly awaited question at the Watermelon Sugar hitmaker.

Harry Styles Ignited Possibilities Of One Direction Reunion 

Appearing on the last episode of James Corden’s show, Harry Styles honored the host and gave his audience something exciting to look forward to. Being from the boy band One Direction, formed in 2010, the singer is readily aware of the fans’ desire for a member reunion. Claiming to be on 18-month hiatus, the band never got back together, much to fans’ disappointment.

However, during the last episode of James Corden‘s show, Harry Styles ignited the excitement in his fans hinting at a reunion. Corden being a long-time supporter of One Direction handed the question card of a possible reunion to Styles during the game segment. “Yes or no, will there be a One Direction reunion?” Styles read from the card, prompting high-pitched screams from the audience. 

After a long pause, the As It Was singer stated,

“I would never say never to that. I think if there was a time where we all felt that that was what we wanted to do then I don’t see why we wouldn’t.” 

Leaning in to high-five the singer, Corden addressed the loud cheers of the audience. Despite debunking the rumors of the 1D reunion on the last episode with, “Nobody loves the boys more than us … but this story just isn’t true” tweet, Corden and Styles together gave the audience infinite hope.
