“I don’t want to know what my best angles are.”: Sandra Bullock Is Adamant About Having No S*x Scenes On Films
Sandra Bullock has starred in a number of blockbuster movies like Speed, While You Were Sleeping, and The Blind Side, for which she even received the Academy Award for Best Actress. As a result, making her one of Hollywood’s most bankable stars.
The 58-year-old actress has developed into one of Hollywood’s most well-known actors throughout her career and has given some of her best performances. However, the actress is rumored to have a s*x-free policy when filming her movies.
Despite being such a stunning woman, Sandra Bullock seems to have some insecurities.
Bullock, who appeared almost n*de in the 2009 romantic comedy, The Proposal, has even admitted that she prefers comedy films as she always feels “safe” with them.
Why Sandra Bullock Refused to Perform S*x Scenes
Sandra Bullock, an actress nominated for an Academy Award, does not find it intimidating to get involved in s*x scenes on screen.
With roles in films like Miss Congeniality, The Heat, and others, the 58-year-old actress has established a solid reputation in the comedy genre. The terms and conditions of many actors and actresses vary, but if one is as powerful as the Gravity star, they may be able to get what they want.
In an interview with the Sunday Times in 2018, Sandra Bullock discussed why she would never perform a s*x scene on camera.
“I’m not the kind of person who says, ‘I’m gonna tape myself having s*xual intercourse cos I’m gonna look good!.’ I don’t want to know what my best angles are. Don’t want to see it. Don’t want to hear it. Therefore, I’m not going to do it on film.”
She has also stated that she is not interested in learning what her “best angles” are in the bedroom. Moreover, the fact that Sandra Bullock was one of the most well-known actresses in the world, also made her feel guilty because she believed she didn’t deserve it.
‘Everything Was A Fight’ For Her
The Oscar winner reportedly has a clause in her contract that specifically states that she won’t engage in physical contact with other people while being filmed. These clauses were said to have been in place since Sandra Bullock’s early career and contained the specifics of intimate scenes.
She also discussed how her career has been a struggle for her, as she has never been interested in romantic roles like those that most female actors typically play. “Everything was a fight,” she remarked.
“It will always be a fight. I was always saying, ‘Can it not be the typical narrative of the girl getting the guy? If there is a romantic scene, can it be funny?’ I’m this oddball tomboy who is half-German.”
In fact, she has referred to comedy as her “savior” in part because it allowed her to authentically express herself on camera. Bullock said,
“Comedy has always been my deflector. It’s how I’ve survived. It’s safe, because I set the tone.”
By proving her talent in films like Gravity and The Bright Side, she also claimed that she was able to land some of the most important roles by “securing the one feminist attorney out there”.
She alleged that her lawyer advised her to fight for what she believed she was entitled to and that she didn’t have to accept anything simply because it was being offered.
The Heat actress is still demonstrating that you don’t have to give up your morals in order to advance in your career. Thus, she is certainly entitled to celebrate her achievement as she wants.
