‘I feel terrified’: Former Royal Family Aide Alleges Meghan Markle-Prince Harry Are a Nightmare Couple, Would Scream and ‘Completely destroy’ Employees for Minor Mistakes
Duchess of Sussex Meghan Markle is accused of treating her staff inhumanely in Valentine Low’s new book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown. An insider told the author of the book that working with Meghan Markle and Prince Harry was a nightmare and many “young women were broken by their behavior.” Many instances of the couple behaving terribly with their staffers are mentioned in the book. The two got married in May 2018 and fulfilled their royal duties until January 2020. The book even revealed that Meghan Markle thought she will get paid for all the royal tours.
Meghan Markle chastised a young female worker
Author Valentine Low mentioned in his book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown, that Meghan Markle used to “scream” at her staffers. As per the book, Meghan Markle once humiliated a young female worker as she told her “Don’t worry. If there was literally anyone else I could ask to do this, I would be asking them instead of you.” The Duchess of Sussex is accused of having verbally attacked staffers on multiple occasions.
The couple screamed at Private Secretary Samantha Cohen
Private Secretary Samantha Cohen’s friend shared that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry allegedly screamed at her before and during a flight to Australia for their 2018 tour. She said in the book,
“Sam always made clear that it was like working for a couple of teenagers. They were impossible and pushed her to the limit. She was miserable. She was constantly having to battle on Harry and Meghan’s behalf while taking all this abuse from them.”
Meghan Markle went to Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand on her first royal tour as a Duchess in the fall of 2018.
A lot of staff members left their job due to Meghan Markle’s behavior
During her first royal tour, the Duchess of Sussex was overheard saying, “I can’t believe I’m not getting paid for this.” Valentine Low revealed in his book that she loved the media attention but she did not understand “the point of all those walkabouts [and] shaking hands with countless strangers.”
Shortly after the tour, Jason Knauf, who took care of the couple’s media operations, said in an email, “I am very concerned that the duchess was able to bully two PAs out of the household in the past year.” He accused the Duchess of Sussex of behaving in an immoral way towards a staff member who was “delivering first-rate work.” Jason Knauf decided to resign from his position later and was followed by many other staff members.
