The TV host James Corden was joined by the Strangers By Nature singer during the Carpool Karaoke episode before doing the last episode of The Late Late Show With James Corden.
The teary-eyed singer confessed to writing the song I Drink Wine after having a chat with James Corden while they were on a vacation with their families. The song speaks volumes about the messy time Adele was going through in her married life.
The singer mentions-
“We were on our way home and my mood had changed. It was the first year that I felt like I had to hold myself accountable for just being an adult. When the year before that, I had left Simon and stuff like that.”
Having one good friend is enough in comparison to thousand friends. The Hello singer thanks her stars to have the Mammals actor and his loving family by her side. The singer said-
“You and Jules and the kids were so integral in looking after me. You used to do it with humor as well, you used to be like: ‘Good luck with that one!’ in any sort of thing I was pursuing and stuff like that.”
Both Adele and James Cordon became emotional while recalling how far they came in their 8 years of friendship. While talking about his friendship with the Grammy Award winner, the talk show host went on to say-
“I’ve known her for a long time, and I consider her a very, very dear friend of mine. The show had been on, and she said to me, ‘I promise I’ll come and do something for you. When we can work it out, I’ll do it.’ She’s not an artist who does a lot of press and promos. She traditionally lets the music speak for itself, so we knew that that was a big thing for us.”

“I definitely want more kids, I’m a homemaker and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music. But right now, all I got in my brain is [my upcoming Las Vegas residency]. I wanna f—ing nail it.”
