Margot Robbie recently opened up about her mischievous childhood and her pranks that were so intense that once she even faked her own death scene that scared the hell out of her babysitter.

Margot Robbie Reveals Why She Once Faked Her Death

Margot Robbie grabbed the spotlight first in Martin Scorsese’s The Wolf of Wall Street in 2013. Robbie, who recently graced the silver screen as Barbie in Greta Gerwig’s film, was once a mastermind when it came to executing pranks. Robbie admitted to scaring her babysitter to death on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show for BBC Radio 2 in an interview to promote Barbie. Robbie revealed,

“We got a new babysitter and I wanted my old babysitter back, Talia, who was like 16 and I thought she was so cool.”

She recalled,

“She told me to go have a bath and I didn’t want to and she was very cranky and I thought, ‘I’m going to show you.’ So I got a big kitchen knife and the ketchup and I sprawled out naked on the tiles, covered myself in ketchup, put the kitchen knife, and I waited like 45 minutes for her to find me.”

Robbie then described how her sitter thought her to be dead and ran out of the house screaming.

Margot Robbie Repaid Mom’s Mortgage After Her Success

When Margot Robbie tasted success in her acting career, the first thing that she did was to pay back her mom for supporting her movie-star dreams. The Barbie star recalled on CBS Sunday Morning how she paid back her mom Sarie Kessler when her acting career kicked off to great heights.

Barbie‘s Margot Robbie reveals the amazing gift she gave her mum after Hollywood success. Robbie, 33, said,

“Everything I owed my mom, I had it written down. She’d take money out of the, like, house mortgage [to] lend me money. So I always knew, I was like, ‘I gotta pay that back,’ And then one day, when I made enough money, I just paid that whole mortgage off completely.” “I was like, ‘Mom, don’t even worry about that mortgage anymore. It doesn’t even exist anymore,’ ” 

The two-time Oscar nominee expressed her heartfelt gratitude for all the love and success she has achieved in her career.
